Understated Zebra Print

Although I love animal print, I typically steer clear of using it in my own home because it can be a bit conspicuous for my taste… I have been trying to figure ways to use animal prints in a more understated manner and I believe I found a few solutions.  I love this zebra print pattern I keep seeing in muted colors, especially when its used with traditional pieces of furniture.

Brunshwig & Fils just introduced hand-woven tiger and leopard velvet fabric for nearly $6,000 a yard.  In terms of appearance, this fabric is just about as realistic as you can get.  Its color and pattern are almost identical to that of real leopards and tigers.  Seeing this luxurious fabric makes me think that even the most classic interiors can handle a touch (or more) of animal inspiration.
