My favorite things…

There are a few things that I always tend to gravitate towards when it comes to interior design. First and foremost, I love pale grey paint.  I love it on walls, I love it on ceilings, I love it just about anywhere.  Another thing I can’t live without is dark hardwood floors (especially when paired with paint of my favorite greyish hue!)  Finally, I like things clean, simple and somewhat minimal.

This room wraps up all my favorite things in one big bow.

John Robshaw

I have totally fallen for Bollywood inspired textiles, patterns and designs.  My son’s nursery is decked out in Taj by Rikshaw Design and now I want to spruce up my own bedroom with just about anything by John Robshaw.  As you know, I LOVE elephants, but I also love the exotic shapes of his new line of headboards and I can’t get enough of all the energetic colors and patterns.

PS… John Robshaw also has designs clothing, bone inlay desk accessories and lots of other great little accessories!

Carla Lane’s Lulu DK Nursery

Did anyone else see Carla Lane’s nursery design in this month’s issue of Traditional Home? I am dying over the Lulu DK fabric and wallpaper.  The design and color scheme are perf.  The only things I would change are those dreadful blinds and the wicker toy basket (in  my opinion, they should both be white)…

MAPS

Have you seen these super chic, minimalist maps of great cities around the world? I love the way they look on their own or as part of a gallery wall. I wish I could get my hands on a Boston version of one of these maps!

Labor Day White

I cannot believe it is already Labor Day weekend… this summer has flow by! I love Miranda Kerr in this lovely white dress and Labor Day weekend is the perfect time to wear something like it.

Spot on

I have been obsessed with these spotted wallpaper patterns by Schumacher and Thibaut for quite sometime now.  I think spots are so fun and youthful, but also somewhat simple and easy on the eyes.  Today (and always) I can’t get enough of it!
