Quartzite

My favorite thing about quartzite is the soft veining and pale color composition. It’s perfect for countertops, fireplace mantels, bathrooms or tiles, but I love the way it looks in the kitchen.

Isn’t it also maintenance free too? Marble and granite need maintenance, I will never again want marble anywhere after having to polish it all the time.
Though its a completely different rock than granite (metamorphic vs igneous) it has pretty similar maintenance. That being said, it is still incredibly durable and long lasting. Personally, my first choice!
Thanks so much! I haven’t looked into it, just love the look. We have had marble and granite in our condo and I have put so much time and effort into sealing them properly.
Thanks, we are finding several people using this product.
Beautiful images, but I still prefer natural stone to manufactured. Honed marble, when sealed properly, is a timeless material that ages gracefully with a home. I have had it in my own kitchen for 13 years:)
quartzite is a natural stone – its a metamorphic rock
True, true! Apologies. I was thinking of quartz countertops like Silestone. Should have just looked out my window: I have about 1,000 sf of quartzite pavers on my deck! Pretty material….
The soft veining is beautiful. The second kitchen pictured really pulled off the look. Thanks for sharing.
I love this new change in options instead of granite – so sleek and gorgeous!
Truly beautiful!
metamorphic rocks are some of the hardest rocks on the planet.’
