Curb Appeal

Sorry for the late post today.  I hit “publish” as I ran out the door this morning, only to realize six hours later that nothing was in fact published!  Anyway, with Spring in the air, many people are out and about manicuring their lawns and ensuring that their landscaping looks perfect.  I noticed that many front doors seem to just blend in with a home, so I always love spotting an exceptional one! I have never had a front door of my own, but when I do, I plan to make mine something special….complete with high gloss paint, a vintage knocker and flower filled planters.

I love beautiful door knockers – especially these vintage styles from Cape Cod Weathervane Company!

One day I will definitely get a monogrammed doormat.  I love these from Pottery Barn

And I think planters by a front door are a must!  South of Market, LolldesignsChristies)

I could look at colorful front doors all day long. give me a coffee table book of them and i’m set for life. am I alone in that?! and yes, that teal one at the top – amazing!

It’s amazing how changing a few features to your entrance such as the front door or even simply the colour of the paintwork and door furniture, makes such an impact. I particularly like the Black and Yellow doors. A Black door is considered very auspicious.

  5. I think ‘curb appeal’ starts at the front door out… you’ve shown us some great doors here. I too love a black door!
