Sheer Unlined Curtains

These look fresh and modern to my eye. We have been in a period of high color and high relief. It’s nice to have the lightness.” I couldn’t agree more and I absolutely love the new wave of unlined curtains. They are ethereal, light, refreshing and anything but dated. They certainly aren’t your grandmother’s sheer lace panels.
I love this room from Francis Ford Coppola’s Palazzo Margherita! In my eyes, this is the ideal of use of sheer curtains.
They also work perfectly in a beach house where you want to keep the interior light.
Redd did warn that some unlined curtains can deteriorate when exposed to really intense light. If you want to try this yourself, make sure your curtains have a little bit of polyester for strength.

I couldn’t agree more. I’ve been grappling over curtains for my living room for quite some time… I think I’m definitely going the sheer route!
Just dropped the curtains in my southwest facing living room and left the sheers. Love the fresh springtime sunlight!
